Thursday, April 24, 2008,1:11 PMwent for LKC scholarship interview at SMU tt day. ohh btw i got accepted in SMU biz and social sciences double degree already but quite hesitant to take it up. cos heard that SMU is the most stressful school and sometimes the seniors have to stay up till 3am to complete their projects! i sure dont want tt!
most likely ill go for Ntu's communication studies. but they havent got back to me so quite worried..hopefully they accept me! cos i thk i didnt do too well for the interview..woopxX. it was about the Olympic torch event and i didnt read up much on it so...=X
hahaa back to the SMU scholarship interview..the scholarship conditions are so tempting..3 overseas trip! woo! but dont think i can make it to the second round! the 1st interview was designed smth like the Apprentice. we were given the task to design a bottle for the bottle convention fair and come up with a proposal to market our product. quite fun i guess..made some new friends but me being the quiet me didnt respond much to the qns posed by the seniors and so i guess didnt stand out much. only 50 out of the 200plus ppl who participated would move on to the 2nd round soo...X.x
haha then also had MICA ( Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts) scholarship to go for. haha i seriously dont mind working for MICA! the building is so vibrant, colourful and the people there are very friendly! hahaha for the first round we had an Assessment test. First, I was told to go for a 35mins informal interview so they can understand me better. it was quite ok though i wasnt prepared..just crapped some of my experiences etc. second round was this group discussion thingy. we were given a case study to read and we were supposed to discuss about it as a group after tt. third we were given 45mins to prepare a ppt ( individually) about the case and to present it to the 'examiner' it was followed by a 10mins Q&A session. tt kinda summed up my AC exercise. lol..guess this is a fair way to judge a candidate. at least the soft spoken ones are given a chance to shine too! unlike other group interviews like SMU's and NTU comm studies where the outspoken ones are the most likely ones who would get shortlisted.
got a call ytd tt i was shortlisted for the final MICA interview!! =DD going for it later on at 3pm! scaryscary! haaha it would be a conducted by 4 high ranking directors of MICA! my first panel interview..oh myyy..

Monday, April 07, 2008,12:19 PMlol..the interview experience was oooooooooook la. the interviewers were friendly ppl and kept smiling. the questions they asked were quite challenging! esp for someone who didnt really prepare. they asked me something abt capitalism and i dont really rmb what izzit. wth so i gave some nonsensical ans which i dont rmb.
then they asked about an article i read which had a great impact on me. i was like wth?! cos didnt read the newspaper. then suddenly rmbed this article i read on my com( father was reading the news and didnt close the window) about some US tea manufacturer so i crapped bout tt.
i also seldom watch tv so when they asked about advertisements and examples, I was like uh-oh. okay. they asked me for an example of a good ad. i was like hmm good ad- the moCCA one..muscle man--> impactful. then they asked what bout a bad ad? i was like ehhhhhhhhh. dunno leh. couldnt think of any. so i said...well. i dont have any examples cos the since the ad is so bad, it didnt make any impact on me! wahahh! they laugh laugh laugh then said okk. =D wheww. even got a nice sourvenior at the end! =DD Kiehl's toiletries sponsored by L'oreal!

Friday, April 04, 2008,5:02 PMrealized my life have been rather boring recently with not much happenings. the rush to get university applications over and done with is FINALLY OVER whooohoo! and i can finally breathe a sigh of relief. lol..i realized im a SUPER DUPER FICKLE MINDED and INDECISIVE person! changed my choices like dunno how many zillion times! at least twenty man! hahahaah even emailed smu twice to change from the initial econs and social sci to biz and ss and in the end back to econs and ss again. wahh think they must be really frustrated with me. heh. ntu also..chose business then AFTER application date is over i emailed them to ask them to make communication studies my first choice instead. hahah! poor weiling..she sits beside me and have to hear me whine/chant etc everyday! wahaha! ok wei da wei da! so i shall be nice and help you promote your webbie shop here! ^^ www.ellelookinglass.livejournal.com
oh btwbtw i wanna quit ite and try new jobs soon! so anyone interested in working for ITE please contact me for more details!!! the people there are very nice and the working envm is great! im only leaving cos i wanna try working in the F&B industry cos i know after uni most likely won't get a chance to work there anymore.
have so many interviews coming up . hhahah not a lot actually. thk i got rejected by both SIA and FIREFLY! sad the stupid SIA scholarship took up so much of my time! 2x500 words essay! oh well. hahah and for PSC scholarship i applied for wrong courses too..should have applied for information service or smth. later they really offer me occupational therapist then how!? =X hahaha. anyway i got shortlisted for psychometric test for PSC its on tues scaryy! hahaha my biz interview for double degree and scholarship is on mon. busy me!
i think communication studies is the most interesting one so far. it seems to satisfy all my interests eg food, travel, variety and the ppl there seem to be having fun! not sure laa.. haahha but its so far away. first years are guaranteed a hall place but after tt, it depends on your CCA participation..later i join le then 2nd year kicked out of hall then super sian..have to travel one hour plus everyday to and fro.
ahh wanna blog out all my thoughts so my mind would not be so cluttered and will be free of all the academic stuff. haha kk from today onwards i shall give my brain a break and stop looking at academic stuff. =DD
gooshh i suck loh hahaa after exams still didnt make time for my friends!haaaha must stop procrastinating and start asking all of them out before uni starts and the hectic cycle begins again! yuckss!! =XXX
pS my hair is back to normal..haahhah i dyed it back BLACK guess its still the nicest! i love my lovely black hair!!

hello bloggy! oh man really sorry to neglect you for so long!
wahh after results day have really been caught up with things tt i sorta forgotten you exist!
heh..oops!
anyway, my A level results was not bad! better than expected though im disappointed with my biology ( 9 in 10 hwa-chongians got A!). =X well should be contented anw. =D hahaa these past few days have been hectic. applying for uni and deciding on courses and blahh. sad man not even sure which course i want to get into! business? dentistry? occupational therapist? wthh! frustrating! hahaa..cant make up my mind. I change my decision every single day and tt sucks!
my bro asked me abt mathematics induction yesterday and im sad to admit that i could not even solve it! dont even rmb a single thing about it except for the first statement : let Pn be " the equation.."
ahh oh yes! i watched enchanted yesterday. great show! nice show =DD hahah like the songs..should watch it if you havent. haha well i know i am abit outdated but oh well..
