ahhh. it had been a tough week. the day right after one star kayaking, we were supposed to go for camp at pulau ubin. it would have been fun if i had not been so exhausted from the kayaking course.
looking good, healthy and ready for camp ( but not for long... = /)
the camp was actually quite slack. not as tough as OBS.
we were ferried to pulau ubin from marina country club resort. the journey was about half an hour.
when we were there, we were introduced to our instructors and briefed on what to do.
the tent was really easy to pitch. all we had to do was to connect a few poles here and there and tadaaa..a tent! its not like the obs one where we have to hammer nails down into the sand. =))
kityeng, yingchern, samantha, val and i shared a tent.
75 was in group 9 and we named ourselves AVIS SIVA . hahaa.
we did a number of activities like rafting and the team challenge pyramid which involves the overcoming of many tough obstacles on high grounds.
for rafting, we built a raft which was rather flimsy.
i was asked to go up the raft because ive got kayaking bkgrd and noe how to paddle -.- in fear of losing my specs when the raft capsized, i passed my specs to sy.
ahh.. as expected, the raft gave way and we capsized twice. then i found out tt sy has accidentally dropped my specs into the water. we tried searching for it but to no avail.
='( my poor lil red colour specs. its still stranded somewhere in the lagoon...
on the last day, we had team pyramid challenge. our team ( chri val me terry) were rather fast. we encouraged each other and managed to pass all obstacles and reached the top. yea! gd job ppl!! =)
ohh. the food given at the camp was all very nice. =)) i esp love the hot milo! yum!

Friday, May 26, 2006,7:16 PMhad kayaking ytd and today. after ytd's training, my arm was aching like mad. i thk i teared my muscle or smth. my arm was aching so badly tt i was rudely awaken in the middle of the night and couldnt go back to slp. luckily i thought of putting ice on tt area and in the end managed to numb the pain.
my arm felt better the next morning. went for kayaking. was damn tired. ahahaha. luckily i applied lots of sunblock..therefore, didnt get sunburnt like reihorng. hahaa..but i think i got tanner. =)
i hate the carrying of kayaks part. it is so tiring. haha. however, the guys did most of the work cos they were stronger! ><
learnt X rescue today. was really fun! haha..esp being the victim. cos all u have to do is to stay in the cool waters while the others slog their hearts out to rescue you. heehee.
hmm. in the end, i got my one star cert. muahah! yeaa! can go kayaking out on my own. =))
END OF SABS. it was really an enriching week!!
yeaa! learnt alot.
looking forward to JUNE HOLS! HAHAHAA. dun have to wake up so early anymore!

Wednesday, May 24, 2006,4:06 PManw. i didnt get selected for taiwan immersion prog. ahh. so sad la!! Zzzz.
ahhhhh. got one whole pile of thick notes today. so much hol hw! the bio dept is crazy!!
school ended at around 12pm. haha. went out to have lunch at united square with chankeet, wahtoon, robert, samantha, val, yishu and kityeng.
ky and i shared a plate of sambal fish cos ky is still going out to eat with her frens later and my mother did buy me lunch.
we got bored and started 'laming' around. took many sneaky photos of ppl arnd us =)
stupid wah toon took a really Eeeeeeeee shot of me and refused t delete it! hahaha. so as promised, ive decided to post up some of his candid shots too! WAHAHA.

we went to some seafood restaurant at turf city. didnt noe turf city was so big!
had crabs, prawns ( very delicious! cooked in a special creamy sauce), shark's fin soup, roasted chicken, black pepper fried rice, sweet and sour fish..and many more. all the mouth watering food right?
hahaha. are you hungry?????
we ate till 11pm..pro right??

had sport's day in the morning. as usual, i ran frm my hse to the busstop cos i was almost late from all the dily dalying. missed my bus x.X
today was sports day. haha.. this is one of apollo's cheer. very cute! it was impromptu. thought of it at the spot.

our class went to serene centre to eat MACdonalds aft tt. i realised tt fries are SATURATED WITH OIL . it is junk food. i shall not eat them anymore.
tt time i ate cold fries then ended up with stomachache the whole night!
there was BIO makeup lecture aftertt. finished whole of gene expression chp. Zzz.
went Ky's hse after tt and started spamming ppl's msn. LOl. we were laughing our hearts out whle confusing our victimss! >< there was fac outing at night.
so...i went home. i underestimated the time i needed to get ready. i thought 30 mins would be enough for me to choose my outfit, change, bathe, put on contacts, pack bag, put on accessories, walk to busstop blahh) ended up rushing agn. had to run to busstop. =
met up with Ky at orchard. she was late!!! ahh. ahhaha. i rushed there for nth! ended up waiting!
she looks nice with her outfit! ( hahaha. im complimenting u!)
hmm. grassroots is a club at yck and we had our event at one of the function rooms. i estimated about 110 ppl turned up. ( ehh..though my estimation may not be very accurate...based on the above incident =X)

there was the fac prince and princess competition. our class sent robert and i up to compete. the games we were supposed to play were quite lame! using a shaver to shave cream off a balloon, dancing and blahh.
OH man. CAN u imagine me dancing??! it was quite embarrassing. after dancing the first move, we didnt noe wat else to dance and stood there and stone. we tried moving but failed. many pairs of eyes were transfixed at us. i wanted to juz disappear loh.
surprisingly our class still won for the fac prince and princess ^^!!

my friend gave me bubblegum and asked me to bring it home for my bro and sis. my greedy bro wanted 2 bubblegums and in exxhange promised to be my 'slave' for a day. hahah. he started eating both of it at the same time.
then he blew an ultra big bubble...he was showing off until it suddenly burst right in his face.
LOL. i started laughing at him. the gum was all over his specs. in the end, he had to surf the net to find a solution to remove gum from glasses.

oh no... i think my attention span is getting shorter and shorter nowadays. i get distracted easily. cant seem to sit still in my chair. oh noo..ahh.
today is a ... day. woke up at 6.37am and was nearly late. my bus comes at 6.45am. luckily didnt miss it! not bad right...i did my ablutions and stuff all within 5 mins! ><
had taiwan immersion programme interview today. it was quite OK i thk. the interview was in chinese ... and i prepared my interview in eng. =X the interviewers were q. friendly thoughhh....
hmm. chem spa was horrible. sianx. why did they set such a tough paper! nt fair loooOoh! hahaa..couldnt get the ans for the calculation part and i thk my titre values are wrg as well =x oh well... AHH. ITS A LEVELS LEHHHH!! IM SO DEADDDDD. calm down calm down.. =

the cutie elmo i got for my bdae!
tomorrow would be week 8!
then one more week of sch before sabbaticals! hahah.
i thk ill <3 week 8 if not for the TIP interview im supposed to have..the chem spa..the maths test..the econs test...and the deadline of gpp draft2. this is so crazy. i would only have 2 days of proper sch in week 8 and yet so many things to do! but nevertheless, week 10 would be a fun week! hahaa. NO SCHOOL. only kayaking and chi painting -.- Eee..i wonder wat they will teach us during chi painting lo..doesnt sound very appealing. aft tt we would be going for camp at pulau ubin..staying in RESORT. so many fun activities coming up..! =))
then ill be able to go out with all my friends ( zihui, xiaojie, serene, eunice, sharon,weiling, zhixin, ying chern, kityeng, nch frens...=x) during the JUNE HOLS! i can collect my O level cert and also finally start our MOOPEA sessions! hahaha. so many things to look forward to! i shall now motivate myself to work harder and stop slacking. afterall..its only two more weeks to HOLS!
ahh..i thk im eating too much. ive been stuffing myself with food. while studying, when im bored, when i feel like eating blahh.. i thk ill get fat and become a pig at the rate im eating!

hmm. played captain's ball with the class today! it was really fun! haha..excpt tt reihorng, the ultra tall guy was in the other team! kept snatching the ball. i think he should really join bball! he is soooo springy! lOL.
oh ya!! wah toon kept snatching my ball! more than once when the ball was flying towards me, he would zoom forward and grab it. =\ hahaha. then he would turn and apologise. very funny!

Woke up early in the morning to realise tt ive got many new smses!
the first one was from daryl. he sms-ed me exactly at 12am to wish me happy birthday! so nicee! hahah. the next sms was from janessa ! she sms-ed me at arnd 12.02am! Followed by wanling, ivan and janice pang. =) they all sms-ed me at around 12am! hahaah. wanling and ivan were like saying tt they stayed up late just to sms me! so sweet llohh! thank you! heheehe.
i would like to thank the following wonderful ppl for sms-ing to wish me happy birthday! they all rmb-ed my bdae! im so honouredd!

today was a slack day. very happy! had econs lecture and gp in the morning. the rest of the time was just spent slacking. cos we had some external speaker coming over to our school for a talk on maths. speaking of tt, i am reminded tt this week is MATHS WEEK! lol..the way they promoted maths week over the announcement was really funny. i could see many ppl laughing. the two presenters were like shouting,
" pythagora's theorem!" " binomial theorem!" while using their 'wand' to point to somewhere afar. then from tt spot, poppers were released and streamers ffell out. damn lame.
after school, my dearest class 06s75 sang me birthday song! lol. =) very touched. THANK YOU! then , they started singing the Elmo Song. hahah. at first, i didnt noe wat they were up to, until they bought out this big elmo doll for me. hahaha. no wonder Ky told me i shd take taxi home today! i thk my arteries were dilating at tt pt cos they were like commenting i looked like the elmo -.-!!!

Monday, May 01, 2006,3:45 PMmore often. i think im turning to blogging as a form of escapade from my stressful life. i was browsing through my blog archives just now and realised tt i havent complete a MARCH post on the CIP camp. i shall continue blogging about it now!
CIP camp Continued.
after yueqi left for campus superstar, i was left with yiwei and soph in the room. we learnt tt we were supposed to perform an item per room in front of everyone. yiwei thought of singing the spongebob square pants song and the powerpuff girls song. we agreed and started planning our dance moves. it was rather spastic! lOL... after jumping around and shouting spongebob square pants a few times, our rehearsal ended. we got ready for our real performance.
the choir ppl performed beautiful songs. we were kinda embarassed to present such a low quality production to the rest. hahah. however, we realised tt a group of SA guys were performing teletubbies! LOL. so in the end, we combined and performed a cartoon network production. it was kinda lame.
this performance signalled the end of the day. we were told to go back to our chalet and back to slp. haha. but..the night was still young! LOL.
the group of SA guys invited us to their chalet to play hear attack. we agreed and sneaked into their room. OoPs. hahahh. we started playing silent heart attack. it was rather funnny . everyone was trying to keep their volumes down to ensure tt the organisers dun catch us. halfway through our lame games( concentration, polar bear and blahh) at arnd 2am, we heard a knock on our door. we were scared out of our wits!!
the girls immediately tried to sneak out frm the backdoor. and the guys pretended to be slping. thinking back the whole scene was really humorous! i could imagine everyone's petrified faces. frm the backdoor, we managed to sneak back to our chalet.
however, we realised tt it was actually a false alarm!! there was no onee outside.
the guys came out agn and we headed to the playground. we borrowed a ball frm some lil kids playing. yes..at abt 3am and started playing captain's ball!
LOL. in the middle of the night playing captains ball. so exciting! just then, the organizer( the person we were trying to avoid all these while came out and saw us playing) haha. luckily she didnt really scold and just told us to go back to bed.
we continued to play. at 4 plus...everyone started getting exhausted. and finally agreed to go to bed.
i had to wake up at 6am to travel frm pasir ris back to hc for makeup lessons! went back with nic. was really unlucky, boarded a bus which broke down.
in the end, i managed t reach school in time. but spent the rest of the lecture dozing off. got told off by the tcher for yawning for than once but i really couldnt control my heavy eye lids...

the food was delicious! there was a wide variety of mouth watering food that made me spoilt for choices. in the end i settled for pizza as it looked nice.
