Public Speaking
Many of us who are at ease speaking to small groups need extra confidence to face an audience. This workshop will combine techniques, skills and confidence building exercises to enable you to get your views across confidently and with enjoyment.
Participants learn how to prepare a good presentation with effective visual aids and to convey ideas expressively. Tips on mastering energy, voice, speech and delivery and will also be shared. Most importantly, participants learn how to deal with nerves and tension in communication.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to prep yourself ahead of the start of the academic year. At SMU, class presentations constitute a significant portion of your final grade.
