i shall blog about sharon's birthday party which was on 30 dec 2005.
This would be my last entry of the year! because in a few hours, we will be bidding farewell to 2005 and welcoming 2006. All i can say is that 2005 had been an eventful year, much time was spent mugging for tests, examinations and the much dreaded O levels. I am glad that we have survived it all!
For sharon's bdae party, we were supposed to meet her at clementi mrt station's busstop. Before that, i met up with eunice because she was unsure of how to get there. We decided to meet in the leftest side of the mrt train. hAhah. cause eunice wasnt sure which was the head of the mrt train. Anyway...things went according to plan and we reached there quite on the dot.
We waited for a while a soon, Sharon showed up with Charmiane. Sharon's parents were also there. We sat taxis to our destination, Singapore polytechnic guaduates' guild ( i thk it sounds something like tt). It is somewhere near dover. Wow...isnt it cool to have a guild where guaduates can return to to hang out?
Imagine...crescent girls' school guild. Hahah..itll be so cool! going there to swim and bowl...you can even meet your seniors and classmates there!
Anyway...we decided to go to the arcade first. Yizhen and i started playing the bubble game while the others went to look for change.
The bubble game was really fun! though i lost to yizhen =( yizhen started competing with the machine and we took turns playing for every stage. We kept dying at round 8.
oh no! the expression on my face looks weird! i was losing the game at tt time....
Meanwhile...the rapid banging on one of the machines caught our attention. We realised tt sharon and gang were back and they were playing with the bishi bashi machine. I LOVE tt GAME!
i used to play it with my cousin using his playstation. Exciting game! Sure to rise your adrenaline level!
jacq. and sharon...nv judge ppl by their appearances...see..they may appear gentle bt it they were really violent at tt time!
Eunice was real gd at the bishi bashi game! I could only win her in one of the games which is the burger game. She must have gotten alot of practices from arcades. Did i mention she won a pink creative mp3 in an arcade game???? So lucky right? the mp3 costs about 200 plus loh! and she also won a guitar there. =
Me and eunice decided to try to para para dance game. We look rather stupid standing on the platform and dancing. It was supposed to be for one person but nevertheless, we cheated and each of ur controllled each side.
After playing the arcade and taking a few photos, we decided to go and have lunch. It was by a poolside cafe. Very nice place indeed! I ordered grilled salmon in black pepper sauce. It was delicious! Though the price was not. Sharon treated us...thank you once agn sharon! =)

Weiling was still not here. She had been working and after work when she was on her way here, she realised tt she had left her wallet or something back at her workplace. She had to travel back to get it, causing her to be really late. she couldnt make it in the end. I wonder when i will be able to see her again to pass her her bdae prezzie which i owed her since sept!
We proceeded for bowling. We played a total of two games. For the first game, sharon was leading at the beginning, followed by eunice. I was second last and yizhen was the last. It was really sad cos i had not been bowling for quite some time and alot of my balls went into the side alley.
However, i started catching up. I even striked once! My score increased significantly after tt. Maybe it was luck. HAha. But At the end of the first game, i emerged second with a score of 65. Eunice was first! =)
We played another time. This time, i was the last. I was lagging behind the rest. There arent high hopes of me catching up...Until...someone got an idea that the position of where they are will affect their feng shui. They started switching places. I was placed at the last. =However..miraculously, my luck started improving! muhahaha! i striked once again.

Eunice tried to change her name from eunice to lucky, hoping tt it will bring her luck. HAAHHA. but it did not happened. Her luck simply got worse! She only hit one pin and its one of her worse throws!
Eunice was always very lucky as her bowling ball will suddenly turn. Its like the ball has some magical power and will steer away from the "drain". Eunice tried to reverse her lucky after tt by changing her nick to unlucky. Apparently, it worked =\ Her throw became rather good.

my name was changed to yamhead by eunice and yizhen. -_- ErbSss!!!
Hahaa. i tried to take my results down but they didnt let me! argh!!!

After that...we proceeded to play billard. What an experiencee!!! it was my first time playing billard and i can say i really suck at it! The game was demoralising and even though we played two games...i didnt even shoot one ball into the hole!!!!!!!!!! =((
I couldnt even hit the ball properly. Anyone willing to teach me???????????
We then went to sing sharon bdae song. =) Her cake was a hazelnut cake and it was delicious!!! We took more photos after that while yizhen and jacq. fooled around with the candles.
I ate two slices of the cake.
We then gave sharon her bdae prezzie. it was a ultra big roxy pencil case! the pencil case was so big tt it couldnt even fit my bag!
It was shared amongst the four of us. yizhen , eunice, weiling and me. =)) hope tt sharon ling likes it!!!
COOL MERRY GO ROUND! u cycle to keep it moving. it resulted in me having muscle aches though. Ouch! =(
i love the club's playground!!! however, after spending a few minutes playing...it was time to go home..and this marks the end of the bdae celebrations.

,1:45 PMthis is not the first time i got 'dumped' on a "date". A few weeks ago, we were supposed to hold a rmps gathering/outing. Many ppl were going, me, callista, wanling, yixin and andre. Haha..but then, last minute, andre had to go on jb family trip and couldnt make it. So we decided to postpone it last min.
Soon, the day of our next sceduled outing came. We realised tt callista couldnt make it becos of some last min thingy. yixin had to leave early and wanling cant be contacted at all! ahh! we decided to carry on as planned. WRONG DECISION! hahaa. when i reached redhill mrt, found out tt only yixin was there. andre was still at home waxing his hair -_-. wat the!!! he said he had actually finished waxing but then thought we not going liao so decided to wash his hair. lil did he know tt we were still going, so he started his waxing of hair agn -_- in the end, we got sick of waiting for him . we decided to go to yixin's house instead. i had chicken rice and went home =\ What an outing!
Today, i was supposed to go out with yizhen to shop for sharon's bdae prezzie. aft smsing and confirming our plans i thought tt the outing was confirmed. i woke up super early today to be on time and at 10am sharp, i stepped into the doors of ikea. silently glad tt i was exactly on time and beat yizhen into arriving. i waited and waited. sms-ed her but there was no reply. aft shrolling aimlessly arnd for a while, i decided to call her. no one answered my first call.
i called agn. my worse fears were realised when a slpy voice greeted me. WHAT!!???! she was still at home and my phonecall had woke her up -_- wat the.....!! it was due to some miscommunication cos she thought the outing was cancelled. dun wry...i wun blame u yz! i juz find it quite humourous... ;)
i ended up going to tiong alone to get weiling's bdae prezzie. which is like dunno how many months overdued! HAHA.
NEXT.
yesterday, i learnt from my mother tt she would only want me to start having a boyfriend at 23. WAHhhhhh. 23 loh. i was expecting her to say 18 or something...but 23...isnt tt SOoooo old? i mean ...for FIRSt bf. =\ wat do u think?

hmm...you noe sometimes after writing something, i will not dare to go back to read it.
one example would be a letter i wrote to my fhorn seniors a lonng time ago. when i was back in sec2. i rmbed writing them a letter after syf to thank them for their hard work and dedication in teaching us and blah. but i also rmb-ed writing all sorts of ways in which they can improve and should do instead of scolding us all the time. i wrote my feelings bout them in the letter. i rmb-ed tt they grew mad aft reading it. i thk the way ive written the letter had offended them. soon, they returned the letter to me. up till now, i dont dare to read the letter in fear of discovering wat was wrong and their feelings while reading it. now tt im a senior myself, i thk ill understand why they were mad at me. our relationship was kinda strained last time.
i rmbed tt when we first entered band, we were faced with 2 reallllly fierce dm and bm. they were yoke kee and yunqi. they started talking about the band rules and the different forms of punishments when we went for the band auditions. back then, i already wanted to quit. band sounded so scary! but then, they started assigning instruments to us and i thought, uh-oh..there is no turning back now i guess. therefore, i started attending band practs. hahaha.
when we first met our three snrs, they seemed friendly enough. but after the first few practices, they started showing their 'true colours'. they said tt snrs and jnrs shd have a gap and cant be too close. if not we will not respect them. they were really fierce. esp. annie and sarah. damn scary! annie will always make us run if we have 3 mistakes and would always give us the diao face. we were all terrified of them. looking back, i realised tt it has been rather tough on them cos they have to lead the sect. when they are only in sec2/3.

anww...i rmb-ed all sorts of punishments tt followed when we did wrg things. my snrs wld be expectionally happy if we were punished to bring home their stands to polish =( then i would spend hours at home polishing their stands. i have a affinity for annie's horns. always getting her horns! hAhaA. buti thk her horns are the nicest so of cos i dun mind! hehee.

i cant say tt there arent any misfortunes in band either. i rmb once being really rude to sarah, our sl back then. during combines, we would use plastic cups to store our discarded our saliva (disguting i noe!) we, jnrs, would then be asked to empty and wash the cups aft every combine. i rmb-ed there was once i was sick and tired of washing cups tt when sarah demanded tt i go wash the cups, i retorted back. why dont u wash it urself? UH-OH. trouble! sarah's face turned black. and instead of scolding me as ive expected, she juz walked away. the next thing i knew was tt everyone noes bout it. me being rude to snr. bad reputation.
in sec2, i think i was rather blur. while setting up a stand, accidentally dropped it on my poooor horn. it was yunqi's exhorn. =\ the horn's bell was dented. omg loh..my snrs were all staring and gaping at me in disbelief . i stood rooted to the ground with a weak smile on my face. uhoh. then my saviour, sarah used her hand and a cloth and sorta twisted the horn's bell back into shape. the sound was ok. and i was fortunate tt only a scar remained and the horn was not damaged ( soundwise) but the consequence i suffered was well...more punishments and more stands to polish. dunno owed how many rounds ard the parade square lo!
there was another time, michelle and i were in charge of photocopying scores for our section. then , once, after photocopying, we realised tt one score was missing! it was like omg! cos if one score is missing, we are supposed to buy a whole set and return to them. we searched for a very long time. intially, we thought we had alrdy given it to our snrs. and kept pushing the blame to our pooor snrs. hehehe. at last, after a long search, annie found tt the score was with the photocopying lady. we had forgotten to take out the score frm the machine after photocopying =\\\\\ so careless! up till now i still wonder why i even got to become a libarian. =\
ahh..what a lovely section! shuangying, michelle, ruth, annie ( she's so prettty! ), me ;)
ohohh..band practs were fun too sometimes! ehehhe. during sectionals ill sometimes crap with michelle. only to get scolded by shuangying. hAHHA. we would draw cute cute cartoons secretly tgt every now and then. so funny! sometimes, combines are really boring too. and me and michelle will continue our lil drawing competition. heheh. oh..how i miss those days!! life in fhorn wun be the same without michelle and shuangying!!=) THANK YOU SO MUCH FoR mAKING BAND TIME ENJOYABLE FOR ME!

today i went to my cousin's hse to visit my grandma =) and to eat turkeyy!
hahaah. the turkey was very meaty. alot of white meat. I LIKE. wah..the turkey was quite huge! but its 68 buckSs! ex right?
crapped with my cousin for awhile and watched jumanji. kirsten dunst looks so young theree!!! time really flies huh! now she looks so old! err..maybe not.

,10:49 AMive juz lost my train of thought. How was i going to start??? hmm...nvm.
I went to johor bahru yesterday. Took the KTM train there. We reached there quite early and therefore spent almost one hour waiting!
To kill time, i went around and took some photos!

Anyway, soon, it was time to board the train! hehee. so exciting!

Oh, btw...we went with our neighbours. Total of 3 families. 14 ppl. quite a crowd! =)

Our first stop was to eat bak Kut teh ( izzit spelt liddat??) with vege, fish and tofu. The gravy for the tufu and the fish was reallly nice! and the bak kut teh soup was fragrant and swt tooooOoo! best of all, we can add more soup whenever we like!
saw some cute chicks at the storeee!! fluffy cute lil furry thingss! so adorable!
Our next stop was the shopping mall. It was some ulu shopping mall in some ulu place. hahaha. not much things. My bro, sis and the others went crazy and bout all types of chewing and bubble gums they could find -_-. Hahah.
I esp like the kaya balls they sell. 10 for Rm2. Its quite cheap. My father said that the exchange rate is now S$1 to RM 2.24.
After shopping, we proceeded to the Ostrich farm in Desaru. Where's Desaru ah? Izzit somewhere in JB? anww...the bus ride was rather long and i sorta got a headache. =(
But the ride was worth it as we got to experience ostriches first hand. HAHA.
this baby ostrich is sooo cute right? Its only a day old!
Some of the ostriches were like let out wild. So tt we can be juz side by side beside them! so cool!

Its really interesting. The ostrich does not have any teeth. Its beak is rather blunt and therefore it does not hurt when it tries to peck food from ur hand!
I also learnt tt male ostriches have black feathers while female ones have gray feathers.
An ostrich will give birth to an egg once every two days. Wahh.
The ostrich's egg is really tough tt it will not break under the pressure of anything lighter than 100kg!

Ok..enough of Ostriches. Next stop....foooooddd!
we had ostrich egg. and small lobsterSsss and chilli and black pepper crabb. YUMMMY!
We then proceeded to see fireflieSsssSss!
we sat a boat and went into the sea/river . Everything was pitch dark. It was really calm and peaceful and breezy. Its juz us with nature. ahhh...it really reminds me of OBS when we were out kayaking. Both sides were mangrove treeSs. No pics cos it was too dark. When i looked up into the sky, a magnificient sight greeted me! There were like millions of stars in the skyyy!! No light pollution up there! SO niceeeeEeeeeEeeeeEeee!

Anww...back to fireflies...they were on the bushes. Glowing. Flickering. Its like christmas lightSs! damn cool! then ivan(neighbour's son) tried catching them using a plastic bag. And he managed to catch it! WAH..so pro loh! we were thus able to study tt poor lil firefly in detail. hahaha.
Soon the boat came back to shore and tt marked the end of our journey. My father gave me rm50 to spend but in the end i only spent rm10 -_-
unlike my siblings...they spent more than half of their money on gumSss. diaoxx.

Monday, December 19, 2005,1:31 PMI think this blog entry is rather late. It is a delayed entry. I was lazy and kept procrastinating. Haha! So sorry...heres my entry. ( beware...long post!!!)
On friday, which is also the day where posting results are released, my friends came to my house to play. They are namely ZhiXin, Sharon and YiZhen. Hahah. i shall blog more about this later.
Anyway...my long day started when i was awakened by a phone call by Eunice telling me that the posting results are released! Sleepily, I made my way to the computer to check out the resultS. I felt a sense of dread. But what can i do? after entering my ID...i found the school, acjc ,staring back at me. I had mixed feelings. Didnt know how to react. I can say i was rather disappointed though. But to go into Hc is tough! i realised tt if i get 4..i wun be able to enter the school too!
I started chatting on msn and asking everyone what school they got into. Eunice gt into TJ! I like that school! the environment is nice and so are the facilities. I would galdly go there if not for the distance! it is like 18km from my hse whereas ac is only like 6 km! its like 3 times! imagine travelling 36km everyday to and from school! i thk i wun be able to last!
from wat ive gathered, andre, callista and candice got into cj. zhixin, me and yizhen got into ac. sharon got into Rj!! so good la!!! and she only got one point less than me. wah..one pt really makes a lot of difference! i shd have studied harder for my chinese!ahhh!! anww..alot of cgs's ppl got into Nj too. Aline, Evon, Crystal ... haiii. ive decided that for jae, ill choose hc, nj, ac...in this order. Nj's reputation is afterall better than ac's.
anyway, after chatting on msn for quite some time, i looked at the clock and got a shock. Its already 10.25am!!! i was supposed to meet zhixin at the bukit merah interchange at 10.30am! and i was still clad in my pyjamas!! hahaaa. i ended my conversations str8 away and rushed to get ready. I reached the interchange at bout 10.45am. ZhiXin had already waited for sometime. Sorry ZhiXin!! She saw my new hairstyle and was speechless. Only made a lot of weird noises!! -_- We went to the NTUC and bought many ingredients needed for our pizza and cookies. Soon, YiZhen and Sharon arrived. We proceeded to my hse. Sharon ling!! my house is NOT dilapitated for goodness sake!!!
We started making the dough for the pizza. It was kinda fun but rather disgusting!! the dough was really sticky with many pairs of hands in it! ahh! ahaha. juz thinking of that sight is enough to make me feel sick. The dough turned out quite alright. We prepared the pizza ingredients and started on cookies.
Everything went as planned and soon, the cookie was ready. We placed it in the oven and set the timing. Then, we ate the beehoon and curry my mother had cooked. By this time, my neighbours had arrived. They came to try out my mum's cooking. Our house was crowded! Sharon, Yizhen, ZhiXin and i started to watch the blur pirated vcds YiZhen had brought with her. The show was Charlie and the Chocolate factory...not really very nice...maybe its because i already knew the story and have read the book so many timeSs! Meanwhile, the cookie was still baking in the oven. The timer didnt go off. The burnt smell of cookies brought me back to reality. Immediately, i rushed to get the cookies out of the oven. The top layer was charred however the bottom tray was a nice golden brown. hAhaha! lucky us! The cookies tasted great and everyone commented that it tasted like famous amos! wahah! its from a cookie mix. If you are interested u can try making it...its as easy as 1 2 3. I thk the brand is betty crooker or something.
Anw...after watching the movie, we decided to go cycling. My sister tagged along as well. As there were insufficient bikes, i had to use my motor scooter. ZhiXin used my bike, Sharon used my mum's and YiZhen used my bro's bike. We didnt know where to go and decided to go to habourfront. We cycled and cycled. The journey was quite a short one though! Soon we reached our destination. We tried to find a space to park our bikes. After much difficulty, we found a place and arranged our bikes in a neat order. However we did not have a lock! We left the bikes juz as they are and went into the shopping centre to take a few photos and stone there.
After enjoying the cool breeze of the aircon for a few minutes, we were once again energised. We did not dare to leave sight of our bikes in fear that they would go missing. After a few minutes, we decided tt we had enough rest and decided to go for more cycling. We cycled to labrador park. It was already getting late. Sharon ling was already complaining cos she wanted to go home and also to return her books. However, majority won and we went cycling to labrador park. The seaview was splendid! However, it was late and sharon was getting more and more impatient. Therefore, we decided tt its time to head home. We didnt even have time to see the beautiful sunset!!! =( We had dinner. The day ended. It was really fun! And i wonder whether we'll be able to have so much fun tgt anymore. We are all going separate ways soon...im going to miss sec sch life!!! =/
